For nearly 60 years, the RAMMS sports program has been dedicated to enriching the lives of children by providing recreational activities in association with primarily Madison School District schools. RAMMS provides competitive league and instructional play opportunities for children in grades K through 8.

  • Legal name: "Recreation Association of Madison Meadows-Simis" (RAMMS).
  • Corporation was formed in March 1961.
  • 6 sport leagues: Boys & Girls Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball and Flag Football.  (Plus co-ed Kindergarten Basketball and co-ed Teeball).
  • Our name recognizes Madison Meadows and Simis as the two schools with which RAMMS is primarily associated. All children in North Central Phoenix may participate.
  • RAMMS' sports include more than 2,000 participants on 225+ teams every year.
  • Twenty-five members of the Board of Directors, 20 League Commissioners, and more than 100 coaches volunteer a significant amount of their time each year on RAMMS activities.
  • Registration fees range from $125 to $175 per participant.
  • RAMMS provides scholarships (registration fee discounts) to allow eligible students to register for a reduced cost.
  • RAMMS pays for, and volunteers to install and remove, baseball and softball fences which are used by school teams.
  • RAMMS pays for maintaining and striping fields, which benefits schools' teams.
  • RAMMS has honored all requests from Meadows for athletic equipment, uniforms and banners for the school teams.
  • Snack bars for RAMMS activities are run by and proceeds benefit Boy Scouts (Simis) and PTM (Meadows).
